The TVLogic LVM071W monitor can be adapted to a variety of camera stabilization systems. Len Donovan of Vitec has assisted in finding the appropriate monitor mount bracket for use with this monitor. To the right are front and rear views with attached mount as well as individual closeup photos of the 6612 telescopic monitor arm (inc. clamp) (approx $800) and the 6634 universal monitor mount with bubble level (approx $195) . The monitor is shown upside down in the photos for clarity only in the attachment arrangement. The mount would normally face downward in operation, and attach to the telescopic monitor arm or other compatible mounting system.
The typical monitor sold with this rig is the Transvideo CineHD at a cost of $8,000. The LVM-071 is an affordable alternative at $2,495 plus the cost of the optional mount and adapter cables for tally and power (Hirose to RJ45M / XLR 4 pin female, custom length). The major differences betwen the Transvideo and the TVLogic is less brightness decrease at viewing angle greater than 90 degrees, image flip and slightly brighter display on the Transvideo. Otherwise the displays are fairly equivalent. The full specifications for the LVM-071W is available here: LVM071W PDF .
At maximum backlight and brightness setting on the LVM-071 the brightness is almost equivalent. The LVM-071 also comes with a clear (but reflective) protector film in front of the LCD panel. It is possible to open the case and remove this film and have just the LCD anti-reflective surface visible. Obviously, the protective function is removed when you do this so extra care should be taken in keeping the screen clean and scratch free.
